ABOUT TARA SEAWRIGHT:

Tara Seawright is a talented interior designer with 20 years of experience in the industry. Seawright’s love for interior design began while attending school as an Art History Major at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. During her studies, Tara enjoyed working at numerous art galleries including Christie’s Auction House. From there, she wanted to either open her own art gallery or continue pursuing a career in the creative side of the art world. Tara discovered that her passion for antique artwork could blend with her career as an interior designer and that’s what led her to pursue her dreams in the industry. Tara’s fascination with New York City, which has a variety of styles and antique artwork constantly being imported, allows her artistic concepts to come to life. Her work has been published by InStyle Magazine, Hamptons Cottages & Gardens, New York Spaces, Traditional Home and the Huffington Post. Seawright was named by New York Spaces as one of the “Top 50 Names You Need To Know in New York Design” for two years in a row, and is frequently asked to appear as a guest speaker for her design expertise.

THE DESIGN:

Tara understands how the industry she works in can become stressful in such a short period of time. Without proper review of a project, major mistakes can be made which could affect the timeline of the project and final net profit for

the company. In one event, a client wanted a custom-built headboard with a trundle bed. The end goal was to do something luxurious and functional, while being appropriate for a child. Lighting and longevity (in terms of how many years the bed could be in use) were also major factors. At first, the design didn’t seem possible but after speaking with Luigi, he suggested that certain sconces be attached to the headboard, which avoided the potential loss of time and money. Tara emphasized how Luigi will be onboard with the entire project until everyone else has completed their tasks. The fact that he is readily available at any time makes the process for project completion smooth sailing.

WORKING WITH BESPOKE:

The idea behind designing with BeSpoke is not only making something beautiful, but to make it functional as well. This creates true value for the custom designs they furnish for their clients. Original designs and layouts may be subject to a consistent amount of revisions during the design process. This is done in order to fit the moving parts of the entire operation, which includes the client’s desires and the logistics of moving the furniture through the property during installation and functionality of the overall design. Vendors tend to be more conservative in design, yet when collaborating with Luigi, he can be more modern-progressive in order to “think outside the box”. Simply put, when she conveys an idea, BeSpoke will mold the idea to a perfected vision.
