When creating custom furniture, essentially every piece is a prototype. At Bespoke By LG we take that into consideration with every design from hand sketches to 3D digital renderings to 3D printed models to full scale patterns.

3D Rendering of Curved Sofa

Our 3D renderings can be drawn on top of a blueprint to add depth in a digital context. We have the technology to add fabrics, carpet, flooring or wallpaper within our renderings to visually immerse the client in a ‘life-like’ representation of the space.

Even in an unfinished space, the full scale paper pattern gives a better understanding of how the final product will look in the space.

We recently had a project that required such specific dimensions and criteria that a full scale pattern was needed to better understand the space. In this situation, Luigi designed a curved sofa for a client that had to wrap around two large supportive columns. These columns ran through the entire building, thus could not be removed.  Therefore presenting a unique creative challenge for Luigi and his team.

To ensure a perfect fit, we printed a full scale paper pattern from the 3D rendering Luigi had designed. We were able to make the necessary changes on site and then make those corrections on our digital renderings. The next step is to have our factory location in Clifton, New Jersey, make a wooden template to ensure no other changes need to be made.

According to Luigi “projects like this are my favorite because they are both challenging and fun, and the final product is that much more exciting.”. When we got to the space, we had to make some modifications, which can be seen in the video below.
