At Bespoke<\/a>, three dimensional drawings are the first step in our design process, but what happens when we need to ensure a perfect fit?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We make templates!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Templates serve as a great resource to better understand how a custom piece will fit in a room, especially when creating curved pieces<\/a> that need to fit precisely in the space. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this project, the curved sofa needs to fit around the structure beam (shown below) without interfering with the bookcase. The placement of the sofa is unique because it is meant to create a \u2018reading nook\u2019 without compromising the interiors of the overall living room. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When on location, we bring our templates and place them down in there respective places and then can make adjustments to ensure a perfect fit. If necessary, we make modifications to the template while at the residence. In addition to the sofa, we are making a custom bookcase and need to ensure the space between the window, sofa and bookcase is functional yet stylish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
